Back by popular demand, we are hosting another evening at 40 Knots Winery where the experts will discuss the changes that occur after menopause, and how to manage them.
Did you know that women spend 40% of their lives in a postmenopausal state?
Menopause occurs when a woman’s ovaries stop producing hormones such as estrogen and progesterone. Low levels of estrogen and progesterone can negatively impact a woman’s quality of life, self-esteem, and ability to have a loving and intimate relationship.
Dr. Tracy Rodgers, Dr. Alexandra Bascom, and Erin Postle, psychotherapist, will be addressing some of the common changes that occur during and after menopause, such as hormonal changes, bladder changes, vulvovaginal atrophy, challenges with intimacy, and the overall shift in identity that many women experience.
Dr. Rodgers is a Gynecologist with over 20 years of experience. She specializes in menopause, hormonal changes, sexual health, and midlife transition. Tracy is also a celebrated Newfie with an amazing sense of humour.
Dr. Alexandra Bascom is a Reconstructive Urologist in the Comox Valley. She specializes in male and female reconstruction, including female incontinence and pelvic organ prolapse. Alex is passionate about female health, helping women to maintain their genitourinary function throughout the aging process.
Erin Postle is a Psychotherapist and Master Success Coach. She specializes in helping women transform physically and emotionally through mindset and superfood nutrition.
We hope you’ll join us at the beautiful 40 Knots Vineyard in Comox. We promise excellent speakers, great door prizes, time for questions, and definitely a few laughs!
